During the five seasons that Graeme Blackman served as head coach of the Buckingham Browne & Nichols girls soccer team, the squad reached remarkable levels of success that would be supremely difficult to match for any program in the region.
In fact, to say it was dominant doesn’t exactly do it justice.
Blackman’s BB&N teams compiled an overall record of 79-6-9. They also won two NEPSAC Class A championships and a pair of Independent School League (ISL) titles during the five years. Last fall, the program reached the pinnacle of its reign in New England girls prep soccer by going a perfect 21-0 and outscoring opponents, 85-2, with 19 shutouts en route to winning the Class A championship. The team will enter the 2022 season riding a 33-game winning streak that dates back to 2019, as there was no season in 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
