On Wednesday, the 16 Independent School League boys soccer teams headed to Progin Park in Lancaster, Mass., for the annual ISL Showcase.
The day featured eight ISL matchups that all count on the teams’ respective records and are part of the regular season schedule. The event provides an opportunity for all of the ISL member schools to play at the same venue and allows any interested college coaches to have a one-stop location to check out the league’s considerable talent.
In terms of the day’s results, Milton Academy beat Thayer Academy, 5-0; Middlesex defeated Tabor Academy, 3-0; St. George’s bested Governor’s Academy, 3-0; Buckingham Browne & Nichols beat Noble & Greenough, 1-0; Belmont Hill topped Groton, 3-2; Roxbury Latin beat Lawrence Academy, 4-1; Brooks defeated St. Mark’s, 6-0; and St. Sebastian’s and Rivers played to a 1-1 draw.
