The New England Revolution have long prioritized quality instead of quantity when signing from their academy, an approach that was further reinforced heading into the 2018 season.
The Revs inked Isaac Angking to the club’s fourth-ever Homegrown Player deal on on Jan. 2. The 18-year-old from Providence, R.I., follows Diego Fagundez (Leominster, Mass.), Scott Caldwell (Braintree, Mass.) and Zachary Herivaux (Brookline, Mass.) as the Major League Soccer side’s other academy products.
During the club’s preseason trip to Florida, Angking said he’s eager to get his chance.
