Back in November of 2021, Preston Alessio hadn’t yet arrived at The Taft School, thus he was spared the heartache of experiencing a loss in the NEPSAC Class A championship game.
It was three years ago that Taft fell to Northfield Mount Hermon in a dramatic penalty kick shootout in the final game of the 2021 campaign.
However, last November, Alessio did have the unfortunate opportunity to experience similar disappointment. He and his Taft squad lost to Milton Academy in the Class A final at Suffield Academy. It was Taft’s lone loss of the season, and once again the championship just barely eluded the program.
