The COVID-19 pandemic cast a long shadow.
The virus single-handedly turned the lives of everyone across the world upside down. People lost loved ones, jobs, and relationships. But the virus also denied us of many of our tertiary needs. For the better part of two years, we noticed our inability to enjoy the comforting mainstays of our lives that we so often took for granted.
In the world of soccer, the development camps struggled to find their usual place. With strict COVID-19 health and safety guidelines hanging over the director’s heads, many had no choice but to shut down indefinitely.
