The changes to the 2020 college soccer season keep coming, with the Colonial Athletic Association announcing Wednesday an Extreme Flexibility Model (EFM) for the 2020 season.
The innovative schedule will impact Northeastern’s soccer programs, with the CAA allowing teams to potentially not play any conference games. Normally, each CAA season entails eight conference games for men’s teams and nine for women’s teams.
The measures are meant to reduce costs and travel issues during the COVID-19 pandemic, as athletic departments deal with constrained budgets.
