To say that Bridger Hansen made an instant impact during his first season at the University of New Hampshire would be the proverbial understatement.
All the Cottonwood Heights, Utah native did in his inaugural campaign was earn America East Defender of the Year honors and become the second Wildcat to earn First Team All-American recognition. He was also one of 15 semifinalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy, which is annually presented to both the top individual men’s and women’s players in Division I soccer.
And to think, UNH wasn’t even on Hansen’s horizon when he entered the NCAA transfer portal following his second season at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.
