We do not know if a soccer-specific stadium will ever be approved in Boston. But we now know construction could not begin until at least 2020.
The New England Revolution’s hopes for a new home stalled once again, as a City Council hearing Thursday determined more time was needed to consider what to do with an 18-acre parcel on Frontage Road. But we did discover it would take nearly two years for existing facilities to be relocated.
So, add on more time in the quest for a soccer-specific stadium.
But this delay is not just about soccer, nor is it just about the Kraft family and the Revolution.
