Even with a dozen new faces on the roster at Gordon College, the term “transition year” is a rather distasteful one.
No, the Fighting Scots, after coming within an overtime goal of winning the Commonwealth Coast Conference championship last season, don’t plan on taking a step back. Not when the steps they want to take are forward ones.
“You could call it a bit of a transition year, but I don’t think it will be,” said second-year coach Matt Horth. “We’re looking to reload, rebuild in a couple key spots. It comes down to adjustments and maintaining the track we’re on.”
