The goalkeepers’ union is alive and well for the New England Revolution Academy, even during the age of social distancing and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Like those from all walks of life, Zoom is where they now congregate on a weekly basis. Although friendly in nature, these video calls also mean getting down to business and developing their craft.
One highlight occurred last week, when the Revolution organized a club-wide call that featured everyone from first-teamer Matt Turner and USL League One signing Keegan Meyer down to youngsters Nickolas Cardona (Roxbury, Mass.) and Brady Elmblad (Sharon, Mass.). From various ages and life perspectives, coaches and players shared a common bond.
