Four teams entered the 2018 NEPSAC finals with the chance to defend their title from a year ago.
When the matches wrapped up Sunday at Brooks School in North Andover, Mass., only one completed the task.
That continuity came from Class C, where No. 3 MacDuffie knocked off No. 1 Brewster Academy, 1-0, behind a fantastic strike from senior midfielder Anna Ludkiewicz (Granby, Mass.). The win gave MacDuffie its fourth title in the last five years, as the Mustangs previously won Class D in 2014 and '15. They shifted up to Class C for the '16 season, winning in '17 and '18. MacDuffie's standout player is senior midfielder Alexis Legowski (South Hadley, Mass.), a Dartmouth commit.
