Just like that, the midway point of the girls Development Academy season has arrived. The inaugural Winter Cup came to a close on Saturday, and now teams won't return to action until Feb. 29 at the earliest.
The event in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., brought together U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19 teams from around the country, with hundreds of college coaches in attendance. It's a high-profile recruiting showcase, one that could change a player's college soccer fortunes.
So, who impressed from the four local DA clubs?
NEFC, Oakwood, South Shore Select and Seacoast United all enjoyed varying degrees of success, and there was no shortage of standouts.
