The first major national event of the 2024-25 Girls Academy season wrapped up earlier this week.
The GA Winter Showcase & Champions Cup event was held at SilverLakes Sports Complex in Norco, Calif., from Dec. 5-9. The event was the first Champions Cup event of the season, with all qualifying teams from U-13 to U-19 facing off. Meanwhile, the Showcase event featured U-15 through U-19 teams, who played teams outside of their conference during the competition.
New England clubs were there as well and had the valuable opportunity to get a few measuring-stick matches against top competition from across the nation, before the regular season schedule resumes in full force in early-March.
