LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla — I can’t believe it’s been three weeks since I traveled to Florida for the prestigious ECNL Girls’ Florida winter showcase at the sprawling Premier Sports Complex.
I miss the warm weather, sandy beaches, and, of course, the high-quality soccer. I saw all six New England clubs compete against some of the top ECNL teams in the country for three straight days. Over the last few weeks, I’ve compiled seven standout stories, highlighting the top players from each position in the Class of 2026 and 2027.
But that left me thinking: which players in Florida were the best of the best? This assignment wasn’t easy because so many talented players impressed me. However, I had to choose four who stood out the most during those three days.
