WEYMOUTH, Mass. — The club soccer season is underway in New England, and what better way to kick off the spring campaign than a showdown between FC Stars Blue and South Shore Select.
The ECNL girls’ powers squared off Saturday afternoon inside the bubble at Union Point Sports Complex in the 2008, 2009, and 2010 age groups. FC Stars completed the sweep in New England League Cup play, including an impressive 7-0 victory at the 2008 level.
With the wins, all three Stars Blue teams punched their tickets to the League Cup semifinals on March 15th and 16th in Long Island, N.Y.
