LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. — The ECNL Girls’ Florida Winter Showcase provides players with a fantastic opportunity to display their skills in front of hundreds of college coaches.
The event kicks off the ECNL season for New England clubs, with regular season games set to begin next month. I got my first glimpse at players from the Class of 2026 and 2027 and will unveil my standouts from each position over the next few weeks.
The first list of standouts is the Class of 2026 defenders. These players caught my eye because of their versatility, instincts, and ability to stop opposing runs. They also helped their teams win games, most notably Scorpions SC center-back Molly Tufts, who helped her squad post three shutouts.
