LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. — Several forwards from the Class of 2026 stood out at the ECNL Girls’ Florida Winter showcase from Jan. 10 to Jan. 13.
However, no forwards were more imposing than the Scorpions SC duo of Kambryl Armstrong and Anya Tansil. Armstrong and Tansil used their size, speed and top-end skills to dominate up front, helping the Scorpions finish first out of 84 teams in the 2008 age group with a 16-0 goal differential.
Armstrong, Tansil, and Sidney Heavey, a Class of 2027 forward, were involved in most of those goals, and they impressed me immensely in both matches I saw.
They weren’t alone, of course. The five forwards below scored goals, assisted teammates, and created constantly to impress the hundreds of college coaches in attendance.
