LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. — Next on the list of standouts from the ECNL Girls’ Florida Winter Showcase is the Class of 2026 midfielders.
A good midfielder impacts matches on both ends of the field, combining offensive and defensive skills to elevate those around them. The five midfielders on this list ignited the offense, won possession and broke up opposing runs. Their versatility not only grabbed the attention of college coaches but was instrumental to team success. Four of the five midfielders mentioned play for South Shore Select and Scorpions SC, who combined to go 6-0 and finish as the top two teams in the 2008 age group.
