The FC Stars White 2009 ECNL team recently won the US Club Soccer 2024 National Cup XXIII Super Group, at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver, Colo.
The National Cup is US Club Soccer’s longest-running competition, as it celebrated its 23rd edition this summer. The Finals is the culminating event of a cup-based championship series that includes qualifying state cups and National Cup Regionals. More than 8,000 teams competed in this year’s series, including 240 U-13 through U-19 boys and girls teams at the National Cup Finals.
The tournament field, which included teams from 22 states, provided a developmentally stimulating environment with geographical diversity, contrasting styles and championship pressure. Winning teams endured three group stage games, before advancing to semifinal and final rounds.
