The Connecticut FC United U-17 ECNL Regional League team has been knocking at the door for a national championship for the last couple of years.
Last year, as a U-16 squad, they placed fourth nationally at the ECNL RL Finals in Seattle. In 2021, as a U-15 side, the team qualified for the ECNL RL Finals in Florida, but play was suspended due to a hurricane and was unable to be played out.
There is certainly some unfinished business for the team, and this weekend CFC will look to break through and cross a championship off the to-do list.
