MIDLOTHIAN, Va. -- There was no shortage of elite talent on display at ECNL Virginia over the Memorial Day weekend.
The final national event of the 2021-22 ECNL Boys regular season featured more than 140 teams from more than 50 clubs in the age groups of U-15, U-16 and U-17. They all traveled to the Richmond, Va. area for the three-day showcase that ran from Saturday to Monday, with each team playing three games (one each day).
Among the clubs in attendance with a side for each age group were the six New England ECNL Boys clubs -- Bayside FC, Boston Bolts, Connecticut FC, FC Stars, FSA FC and NEFC.
The competition was intense and the weather was hot, making three games in three days no easy task. On top of that, you had a massive contingent of college coaches/scouts -- from every college division -- in attendance to check out potential future recruits.
