Oakwood’s U-17 academy team has shown well in the first half of the 2017-18 season, with midfielder Dylan Maxon standing out in particular.
Due to his roots in the Albany, New York area, Maxon travels nearly two hours each way for practice in Connecticut, all with the hopes of landing a college soccer scholarship.
He’s earned looks from several Division 1 schools already, and projects as a mid-range player at the next level. The trick with Maxon, though, is that his ceiling is so high due to his skill on the ball.
