After two seasons as the head coach of the Hingham (Mass.) High School girls soccer team, Mary-Frances Monroe is returning to the college game.
Monroe has been named head coach for the women's soccer program at Division 3 Wheaton College. The hiring was announced on Wednesday.
Monroe becomes the 12th head coach in program history.
"Wheaton is excited to welcome Mary-Frances Monroe as the next head coach of our women's soccer program," said Wheaton Associate Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Programs Gavin Viano in a statement released by the school. "Throughout her career as a player, head coach, scout and administrator, Mary-Frances has built and sustained an exceptional level of expertise within the sport of soccer."
