The University of Southern Maine has held a special place in Jim Hopkins’ heart for quite some time.
Hopkins was a three-year captain (1997-99) for the Huskies men’s soccer program and an all-conference midfielder before earning his bachelor's degree in 2000.
He later returned to Southern Maine to serve as the Huskies' associate head coach for two seasons (2017, 2018), before moving on to lead the Bridgton Academy boys soccer program in 2019.
So, it comes as no surprise that when the opportunity to return once again to Southern Maine presented itself, Hopkins seized his chance.
