The 2023 college season is rapidly approaching, and one surefire sign is the year’s first United Soccer Coaches national Top 25 poll was recently released.
Unsurprisingly, defending national champions University of Chicago took the No. 1 spot, after completing an undefeated 2022 season that ended by raising silverware.
But we’re looking at things through a New England-centric lens, a viewpoint that brings four programs into focus. All four are from the NESCAC, which has a reputation as the country’s top Division 3 conference.
Here’s a breakdown of each team that cracked the poll, with plenty of movement expected once games get underway closer to Labor Day.
