In a flash, the first five weeks of the Division 1 season are in the books. That provides plenty to digest as teams impress and others struggle.
New Hampshire remains entrenched in the top-25 national rankings; Boston College and UConn have slipped up some after hot starts; the Connecticut duo of Yale and Hartford continue to impress; and the two Patriot League teams, Boston University and Holy Cross, are up against it.
Amid that and more, we've named our midseason Best XI for the 2019 season. The team is organized in a 3-4-3 formation, pulling from programs from across the region.
