With Division 3 seasons across New England hitting their midpoints, conference races are heating up, and teams are either confirming and refuting first impressions.
The list of unbeatens is a short one – Tufts (9-0) and Connecticut College (9-0) in the NESCAC, Roger Williams (11-0) and Salve Regina (9-0-1) in the Commonwealth Coast, and St. Joseph’s (11-0) and Norwich (7-0-3) in the GNAC.
The teams are winning matches in different ways. St. Joe’s and Salve Regina are both producing more than three goals a game, on average. Defensively, St. Joe’s and Conn. College have both allowed just a single goal all season; Tufts has conceded three, Roger Williams has five and Norwich six.
Behind some of those gaudy records are the stars that fuel their respective teams. The best of the best comprise our midseason Best XI.
