With Tufts capturing its third national title in five years last weekend, the 2018 Division 3 soccer season is officially over.
From that, New England Soccer Journal has named its Best XIs to highlight the region's top performers over the past three-and-a-half months.
There's a strong NESCAC presence, as there typically is when talking about local soccer prominence, but also some leaders from the NEWMAC, GNAC, Commonwealth Coast Conference and elsewhere.
Our First and Second Best XIs are both arranged in a 4-3-3 formation with expanded blurbs on each player. Twelve of the 22 players are from New England, while just four are underclassmen.
