When Bentley University set out to hire its new women’s soccer coach earlier this year, current players and twin sisters Jillian and Jenna Hendriksen (Pembroke, Mass.), met with the candidates selected for final interviews, including Sarah Dacey.
Jillian Hendriksen was impressed that Dacey came into the interview with not only a detailed scouting assessment of the Falcons’ program, but also with a fully formed vision and infectious energy for moving it forward in a winning direction.
"What we needed in this program was energy like that," Jillian Hendriksen said of Dacey, who was a four-year starter and won three Division 1 national championships as a player at the University of North Carolina, playing for legendary Anson Dorrance from 1993–96. "She’s a winner. She wins everywhere she goes."
