Winners of six NCAA Division 2 national titles from 1987 to 1999, the Southern Connecticut State University Owls are an underappreciated titan in New England collegiate soccer.
In 2024, big things could be on the horizon for the Owls. Led by one of the best keepers in the Northeast-10 Conference, rising senior Devin Juan (Meriden, Conn.), Southern Connecticut State could be on the cusp of another run at a conference title and NCAA Tournament bid.
Former Owl midfielder and current head coach Kevin Anderson believes that the Owls have the pieces in place for success in the Northeast-10, anchored by Juan's unflappable goalkeeping.
