With over 300 Division 1 women's soccer teams across the country, there are many destinations for New England's brightest young players to choose from when on the recruiting trail.
Many stay local, with options ranging from Maine to Fairfield and everywhere in between.
But dozens head beyond our region's six states and end up flourishing in high-profile conferences near and far. They're often programs in the national-title hunt, ones where a College Cup appearance is within touching distance.
So ahead of the 2019 season, here are 10 returners to watch for outside of the region. We also highlighted 10 freshmen who could turn heads, though have much to prove. Each section is sorted in alphabetical order.
