Championship weekend has just about arrived in Division 1 women’s soccer.
Throughout New England, and beyond, conference champs will be crowned this weekend and they will earn automatic bids into the upcoming Division 1 NCAA Tournament. The complete 64-team field will be released on Monday. Several conference semifinal matchups will be held tonight, before champions hoist the trophies this weekend.
Here in our region, 11 teams are still playing for conference crowns, that includes three teams in the America East Conference, and a Northeast Conference program that recently made the jump from D2 to D1.
