It just may be the best current rivalry in New England men’s Division 1 soccer.
Two America East Conference programs from bordering states that both happen to be ranked in this week’s national top 25. And, the icing on that compelling cake is that they perennially meet late in the season in one of the final regular season matches before the conference tournament.
So, to say there’s some juice heading into Friday night (7 p.m.), when No. 21 New Hampshire (11-3-0, 5-0 AE) will play at No. 20 Vermont (12-2-1, 4-1 AE), would be an understatement.
