Who are the top strikers in New England college soccer? It's a simple question, but one that also deserves some sorting through as playoffs near.
To provide some answers, we've ranked the region's top 10 strikers. There's a heavy upperclassmen presence, though a couple freshman also got some shoutouts. Of the 10, six are from overseas, reflecting college coaches' tendencies to recruit internationally when looking for goalscorers.
Another subplot is who's taken over as New England's top striker, with ex-Providence College standout Mac Steeves (Needham, Mass.) now with the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer. The answer, to those who follow the region's soccer scene, should come as no surprise.
