It’s hard to believe, but the three-month adventure that was the Division 1 men’s soccer season has come to a close.
UConn advanced furthest in the NCAA tournament, knocking off regional side Rhode Island before dropping a 4-0 match at Indiana on Sunday. New Hampshire was the third New England team to make the tournament, succumbing at home to Colgate, 1-0.
Some of the best teams over the course of the year were doomed by poor showings in the late season, notably Vermont, Fairfield and Providence. Others that previously struggled, like Northeastern and Bryant, showed some signs of life as conference tournament time neared.
