When Ruben Resendes took over a three-win Bryant University men’s soccer team in December of 2022, one of his challenges to those within the program was to think big.
Coming off a Division 2 national championship season at Franklin Pierce, the Fall River (Mass.) native and former All-American at Southern New Hampshire University wasn’t looking to simply be competitive in the America East Conference, he was looking for the Bulldogs to win it and have the mentality they could do it right away.
Now coming off the program’s first-ever conference tournament championship in 2023, a 16-2-2 record and an NCAA Tournament appearance last fall, his charge heading into the 2024 season is to think even bigger.
