For teams in New England, it was a memorable year as led by Boston College, New Hampshire, Providence, Rhode Island and Yale all making the NCAA tournament.
Each of those programs were greatly shaped by players from the region, but many of New England's top players could be found on teams beyond the six states we call home.
Mindful of that trend, we've highlighted a Best XI of locals who played outside of the region in 2019. The group is organized in a 4-3-3 formation, with players qualifying by having New England hometowns or roots at clubs/schools here.
