For first-year players in Division 1 men's soccer, hitting the ground running is no easy task -- coaches usually favor those with experience, and the game has become increasingly international (often older players).
Despite those challenges, New England natives are charting the early days of what could be long, prosperous careers at some of the nation’s highest-profile programs beyond the region.
