The season has ended for most D1 men’s teams in New England. There are only four still standing -- Bryant, Sacred Heart, UConn and Vermont -- and they will be playing for conference titles on Sunday afternoon.
At least two of those four teams will be invited to the NCAA tournament no matter what happens on Sunday -- Vermont and Bryant, who will be playing each other in the America East championship. Defending national champion Vermont was ranked No. 2 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25, while Bryant was No. 5.
UConn didn’t crack the national Top 25, but the Huskies were the first team listed in the "Also receiving
votes" category with six votes, just ahead of Denver (five) and Syracuse (four). So, there’s a chance UConn could get an at-large NCAA bid if it doesn’t get the automatic bid by winning in the Big East final on Sunday against Georgetown.
