A remarkable season for New England’s America East Conference men’s soccer teams will continue.
For the first time in conference history, a pair of AE programs advanced to the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 in the same season, as Vermont and eighth-seeded New Hampshire both secured NCAA second round victories last Sunday.
They are the lone New England programs remaining in the men’s Division 1 NCAA Tournament. This marks the third straight season overall and fifth in the last eight years an America East program has reached the Round of 16. Last season, Vermont advanced all the way to the NCAA quarterfinals.
