The United Soccer Coaches' men's Division 1 National Preseason Top 25 poll was released on Tuesday, and a pair of New England programs were included.
Leading the way is defending national champion Syracuse at No. 1, followed by Indiana, Kentucky, Duke and Pittsburgh to round out the top five.
The University of Vermont checked in at No. 12, while the University of New Hampshire is ranked No. 23. Both programs are part of the America East Conference.
Providence also received votes with 13.
