The global coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has resulted in spring practices and competitions being cancelled for all out-of-season Ivy League teams, the conference announced Tuesday.
In other words, the men's and women's soccer programs at Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard and Yale won't hold a formal spring season in 2020. Players could still train together informally, though there's no guarantee that university facilities would be accessible.
The policy is subject to change as circumstances surrounding COVID-19 evolve, a Yale athletics spokesperson told New England Soccer Journal.
