The postseason is upon us in Connecticut high school boys’ soccer.
Conference tournaments, which have no effect on state tournament seeding, began this week. Pairings for said state tournaments will be released early next week, with the real thing starting on Oct. 31.
Class LL is led by undefeated Greenwich, which finished the regular season as our No. 1 team. But the Cardinals will have plenty of competition, including FCIAC rival Staples, which is having its best season in years in coach Liam Witham’s first season. Meanwhile, the CCC, which has won seven of the last eight LL titles, has plenty of teams in the mix, and Xavier and Notre Dame-West Haven are contenders again out of the SCC.
