Championship weekend has arrived in Division 1 men’s soccer.
In New England, and beyond, conference champs will be crowned this weekend and they will earn automatic bids into the upcoming Division 1 NCAA Tournament. The complete NCAA field will be announced at 1 p.m. ET on Monday.
Here in our region, just two teams will be playing for conference crowns, and both of those squads will have the benefit of hosting the championship match this weekend. It’s also worth noting that the Ivy League does not hold a championship tournament, but the regular season champ will be crowned this weekend, and that will either be Penn or Cornell.
