Over the past two decades, Brendan Faherty has always found his way back to soccer in New England.
He played for Northeastern in the late 1990s, captaining the Huskies for three seasons. In coaching, he spent time at the University of Massachusetts and New Haven before venturing out west for a stint at the University of Washington. Faherty even grew up in Guilford, Conn., so the roots for this next chapter run deep.
This past Wednesday, Faherty was announced as the latest Yale women's soccer coach, taking over from Rudy Meredith, who resigned on Nov. 15 after a 24-year stint of leading the Bulldogs.
