On Friday night, soccer eyes in New England will turn to an anticipated matchup between regional powers Tufts and host Brandeis.
It’s a rematch of last year’s match in the NCAA quarterfinals, one that Brandeis captured in double-overtime to earn a place in the Final Four.
Make no mistake, though: The two regional powers will arrive at Friday’s contest from opposite directions.
Tufts (5-0) has picked up right where it left off. After allowing just two goals all last season – including the strike by Patrick Flahive that kept the Judges dancing – the Jumbos have been every bit as stingy, conceding just once in their first five games.
