The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) recently named its All-Conference Teams and Conference Players of the Year for the 2018-19 season, with 13 players from New England honored.
Honorees were picked for each conference, with locals drawn from the Northeast Conference. Penn Fusion dominated the Player of the Year awards, perhaps reflective of how only two teams from the region – FSA FC’s U-14s and the Boston Bolts’ U-15s – made ENPL Playoffs this summer.
In all, Connecticut FC led the way with four honorees, though the Bolts, FSA and FC Stars were each represented, too.
