It’s no secret that New England is rich with Division 1 women’s soccer talent.
Year after year, the region boasts some of the nation’s top teams and best individual players, many of whom go on to earn national recognition.
Choosing a Best XI is no easy task, particularly before the season begins. What happened in the previous season and in the past can certainly serve as a strong barometer for what’s to come, but players can also make a significant leap from one year to the next and become one of the area’s elite performers.
Today, we’re unveiling our 2023 preseason Best XI for Division 1 women’s soccer in New England. Our squad is based on a 4-3-3 formation.
