Patience was the name of the game for Blake Hylton (North Haven, Conn.) during the college recruiting process, and now he’s heading to a renowned Division 1 program.
Hylton, the starting goalkeeper for Beachside’s U-19 Development Academy team, recently committed to Fairleigh Dickinson, nine-time Northeast Conference champions.
Talks with the Knights' head coach Seth Roland picked up steam in March, comparatively later than most of Hylton’s Class of 2020 peers. With goalkeeper coach Javier Decima offering reassurance, Hylton kept faith that his chance would come.
