After his players accomplished a feat 30 years in the making by dispatching the favorites to win the UEFA Champions League, AS Roma owner James Pallotta (Stoneham, Mass.) wanted to celebrate his club’s semifinal berth in proper fashion.
He settled on a backwards somersault into the middle of a fountain.
The exuberant revelry left him soaked and undeniably satisfied. He subsequently agreed to pay a fine and issued an apology to Rome mayor Virginia Raggi, but those minor hindrances did not dampen his spirit of the magnitude of the accomplishment.
